WHAT IS THE RELEVANCE THEY HAVE IN THE CLASSROOM

Establishing and teaching clearly defined parameters of acceptable behaviors is a critical part of classroom discipline. In a summary of the research on classroom management, Marzano (2003) found that “across the various grade levels the average number of disruptions in classes where rules and procedures were effectively implemented was 28 percentile points lower than the average number of disruptions in classes where that was not the case” .

Every teacher should formally take the time to teach and enforce clearly defined parameters of acceptable student behaviors. Unfortunately, many teachers make the mistake of announcing rather than teaching parameters to their students. The truth is that students do not learn what's announced; they learn what they are taught. It makes no more sense to announce rules regarding acceptable student behaviors than it does to announce—rather than teach—math facts. It is critical that you formally teach and enforce both a discipline plan and rules of conduct from the very first day of school.

HOW EMPOWERED DO YOU FEEL TO HAVE EFFECTIVE CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT WHENEVER YOU TEACH?

When I teach the first rule that I implement is the respect because with this moral value students behave in a good way in the classroom. Then I ask them to be responsible with homework and punctuality and they will get the same behavior of me.

I always try to promote a good environment in the classroom and I give responsibilities each student because even they are teenagers they can think by their selves and what they want. Also I trust on the students, but I let them know that if did not behave in a good way they have to be responsible and accept the punish for that kind of behavior.

HOW DO CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT PARAMETERS HELP TO MAKE LESSON EFFECTIVE?

When in class are parameters and the students fulfilling their responsibilities the lesson can flow in a better way. Also I as teacher I have to make the students accomplish the rules and the discipline stipulated in the classroom.  A good class needs good students and participation and this only I can have it the availability that the students performed in the classroom.
